Star Princess Cruise Review by TheSavvyTraveler
- Sail Date: February 2019
- Destination: South America
- Cabin Type: Premium Balcony
Good cruise, especially having Michele Tuvo as the Captain. He is the best we have ever had! He was very good about telling the passengers when there were whales, dolphins, turtles, etc around the ship. The Captain was out-and-about the ship daily and readily interacted with the passengers. He always ends his announcements with "...nevertheless, Bye bye!"
It is unfortunate that Princess does not provide a Bridge Director on cruises any longer. There were 6 sea days on the Buenos Aires to Santiago leg, and 9 sea days on the Santiago to LA leg.
The food selections could have been better. There were a number of nights we chose to eat in Horizon Court rather than the dining room because there was nothing appealing on the menu. The deserts are especially disappointing. They look pretty but are mostly tasteless.
