The embarkation process was very easy once you get past all the traffic and chaos at the port leaving Tampa. One thing that we did not like is when we were getting dropped off the people that collect the bags were throwing them on a cart which were falling all over the road and hit our car. When we went to give our bag to the person collecting them(which we were already iffy about after what we just witnessed) he said our bag was too big and we had to take it on the ship, so we were stuck carrying a 50lb bag for a few hours until rooms became available. The elevators were mostly all closed the first day so it took forever to get anywhere you needed to. Food was subpar, on elegant nights the food was somewhat better quality than casual nights. The portions are very tiny and most the food around the ship is greasy and fatty and overall just bad quality. Workers constantly will come around and bother you every 2 minutes asking if you want a drink and even when you say no they continue to bother you and when they finally stop they walk off with an attitude if you don’t get anything. Room service free food had little options and the quality was also bad. Lastly for the negative thoughts would be that the ports you have to tender at are very disorganized. People will cut in front of you to try and get on first and when they decided to do a sticker system for another port pretty much the same thing happens and everyone cuts you and your stuck waiting again. Staff should try and organize things more with something like two lines to stand on instead of everyone trampling one another in front of where they give them out. If your boat goes to Belize I would defiantly book an excursion because there is not much to do and taxis are so expensive . We went to the man made beach which was reasonably priced but the cabs will cost you an arm and a leg. There was never a dull moment on the ship in regards to entertainment so you will never be bored. Our cruise director, Leigh, was fantastic. Very entertaining and engages the guests in all the activities. The comedy shows were hilarious and our favorites were the Anthony Scott and Al Katz they had us laughing the whole show. We always got to our ports on schedule or a little before which was a plus because we were able to spend a lot of time on the islands. We booked a shore excursion through Carnival in Cozumel called “VIP Dolphin Swim Experience” and it was well worth the money and the service was fantastic. The trainer rodrigo was amazing with the dolphins and did awesome with our group! Lazer made sure everyone on our excursion was taken care of and he was very attentive so I would highly recommend both of these guys to deal with on your excursion! Overall we had a great time on our cruise entertainment wise but we are not sure if we would cruise with carnival again in regards to the negatives above.

Cabin Review

Interior
Cabin 4E 1197
Cabin was very clean. The Steward, Jonathan was awsome! He was such a great guy and he made our experience great regarding our room! The only issue we had was that there was a blood stain on the head board of the bed that was never cleaned. (Stain was from previous cruise.)
