This was a CruiseTour which included a 6 night land tour of Australia which included the Great Barrier Reef. Also included a 2 night stay at Ayers Rock which was a little long compared to what was there to see and the hotel accommodations were pretty rural. But the tour of Sydney prior to boarding the ship was excellent. The New Zealand portion of the cruise was excellent, beautiful scenery throughout and shore excursions were excellent. As I have trouble walking, we only do the easy excursions so we see a lot of scenery and drives around the town. Lot of good information, Getting on and off the ship in Sydney is extremely easy, well organized. As far at the ship itself, this is not a ship designed for cruising from US ports. This ship is designed for the Asian traveler as there are a reduced number of bars (areas are converted to gambling and mah jong halls. There is no pizza other than in Alfredo's which is a good pasta/pizza sit down space (no addtl charge) but the noodle bar poolside was good. We did Club Class dining and the service was fantastic. The food selections were not as they have been in the past, however with Club Class dining, you get one additional choice that is prepared in the eating area. Won't go back to regular anytime dining again when traveling on Princess. Hate the wait in lines to get a table. Only did the buffet on the lido deck once. The selection of food was mostly Asian type and layout was difficult to get around. All in all it was a good cruise, but it is long and if you are coming from the states, the time change affects you more than you realize.
