this was our 5th cruise with HAL and 2nd on the Koningsdam in the Caribbean.
We loved the 10 day cruise to the ABC islands. We go on cruises to explore new ports and relax and love the HAL experience complete with gala nights. That is one of the reasons we book with HAL. Early runs in the morning on deck are lovely after a long winter and the spa experience was great as well!
The addition of the rolling stone band is a great entertainment venue after dinner.

we had a great stateroom with extra large verandah. storage is great and if you can keep your stuff neatly organized its plenty of space

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
great way to experience the everglades and bridge the time to our flight home
Grand Turk
supreme snorkeling tour, 3 spots including conch and stingray swim. what a great experience! crew was awesome!
Half Moon Cay
Our favourite island for a relaxed beach day!
Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)
We took a cab with another couple, paid $50 per couple for a 6 hour trip through the island.
Bonaire
Bonaire has a watertaxi that takes you to Klein Bonaire, one of the better reefs I have seen in a while. Would come back here for the snorkeling and diving.
Curacao
amazing colours. when you get tired of all the shops go and visit the Kura HuLanda museum. I think one of the better museums I have seen in a long time. Great.
I would not necessarily spent the cab money on the distillery, not too much to see.
Aruba
Great intro. I am an advanced certified diver but have not gone in 5years and hubby is not a diver. so we went on this one. the instructors were great and super patient if someone needed more time. Would highly recommend
