We took this cruise mainly to get away and to have the option to depart from Los Angeles. Thankfully, after we returned home both of us left the voyage confident we had made a good decision. The food was excellent and being our fifth Princess cruise we felt that all of the eateries on board were excellent. The Horizon Court Buffet was the biggest surprise. It was outstanding! A huge variety with many different selections each day. Crown grill as always was excellent as was our first visit to Sabatini's. Both places the service was top of the line, with fun and knowledgable wait staff. Our room was kept immaculate by our steward. The only minor downer was that the bed had not been transitioned to a Heavenly Bed yet but we were told it was coming soon to our level (Caribe Deck). The other downer was being charged for an excursion that was paid for a few months prior, but I am confident Princess will make it right after I contact my Princess agent. That is why I have focused primarily on Princess cruises. My agent, Phoenix Quevedo, always makes a sincere effort to ensure we are well served.
The cruise was great. The entertainment was excellent with something for everyone. The stage design, singers, music and energy ensured we returned every show we could. Speaking of energy, Matt O, was the best cruise director we have ever seen. He has that unique ability to entertain most anyone he comes into contact with. He is not afraid to take a change, ensuring he never allows for routine. A true professional with a God Given talent.
We departed after enjoying each day of the trip well rested and actually refreshed. We have already booked our Cabo cruise for December 2019.
Just fine with enough inside space to feel roomy and relaxing. The balcony is a tight squeeze but it just works unless you are pretty tall.
