This our 4th with Princess and the first questionable experience. We had 2 other couples with us on their first cruise. They always seemed understaffed. Drinks especially soft drinks were difficult to get. Mixed drinks were higher priced than I remembered. It wasn’t until the fourth night that we found a waiter that we enjoyed enough to remember and and asked for her again. The food at the restaurants were just average, nothing outstanding. We ate at the Crown Grill one night. Good but barely worth the up charge, we did this on the other 3 cruises and it was always something special but not this time. Breakfast buffet was good every day. The Princess theater shows were outstanding.
We get up Monday morning (day 3) and our toilets don’t flush. Neither do our fellow travelers. Our whole section of mini suites are all out. Ninth floor. Steward called it in at 7:30 am. An hour later I go to the front desk and get an indifferent “we know about it and the plumber will be working on it soon”. About 3 hours later the plumber is in the hallway with a snake routering out the line. We go to lunch and mess around a while then return to the room and it is fixed. No message or anything. I returned to customer service and explained the situation and the rep said he would check with his boss and get back to me. He did and we met again the next day and he offered us a free meal at Planks bbq for our inconvenience. Offering a group from Texas BBQ is risky to begin with. The food was actually good and the service was very good but I don’t know how they keep this restaurant open. Hardly anyone else was there.
The medallions were fine but we couldn’t get the apps to work consistently.
Nice. Good location.
