The ship and room overall are very nice but the interactive computer Zoe was a complete joke and never gave info. Let's start with the staff everyone we met was nice but that is expected the problem was not one person was exceptional or memorable they were all marginal at best with their service skills. The food and menus were also marginal with a very limited menu in the main dining room it seemed like they were trying to drive you into their pay restaurants it was very disappointing. The best food of the ship was probably breakfast and that was decent as for lunch we passed because besides the pizza which was good there was nothing worth going for and what they consider a salad bar is a complete disgrace and good luck finding salad dressing. I will give them props for the pizza, mozzarella and some breads other than that eat off the boat for lunch. The entertainment was strange with the exception of the Rock n roll show which was very good other than that we walked out on everything. They had a 70s show in the promenade the first night and had entertainers dressed like the Village people, while playing YMCA the guys were simulating sexual moves with other men with families around so we left. The destinations were all good except Merseille which is and odd choice given all the great places in southern France. We had two tours through the ship which were very nice Pompii and Mount Etna/Taormina which I recommend. The Front desk and Photography staffs are not well informed so plan on extra time dealing with these people. Our room was very nice but we were not aware that our Balcony room had a partially obstructed view till we boarded which did not make us happy but the size of our deck was twice that of everyone else's so we dealt with it. Also be advised that MSC charges for everything onboard, what you take for granted on other cruise ship is charged for on MSC whcih my daughter says stands for Mucho service charges. We still had a good time on the cruise but be advised this is not RCCl which is our favorite.
