Trip Details
  • Sail Date: Mar 2019
  • Destination: the Bahamas
  • Cabin Type: Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah

Embarkation in Miami a bit rocky, the check in was not well staffed in addition to enormous amount of first time cruisers, everyone confused & slow, slow, slow. Stateroom needed much attention lots of patchwork, shower loose and sprayed water from neck, missing caulking to messy over caulked area's and the noise, you could not get away from it on the 8th deck, do not book an stateroom with a connecting door and stay away from deck 8. Chair dragging, running, jumping quiet about 0100hrs. The ship is showing her age, deck 4 very narrow for running track. Dining same as the Dream class yet no one dressed for dinner on this ship but a handful of us. Minimum activities, everything everywhere trivia! Our stateroom host was on his phone almost always, left trash bins ajar never refilled soap, had to ask for it and shampoo etc. He smiled and always apologized, just off putting & we are neat freaks so he never had much to do. The movie theater had zero leg room, it was very uncomfortable if you are over 5'6". The sail away party was awful, I can go hear a DJ anywhere, if you have a choice skip this one. (Unless you enjoy really small elevators packed with people and stairs that are so narrow they are hard to navigate especially when there are children running up & down them with no parents in sight. No Magic on the Magic in our opinion, pretty bad when you are Okay with disembarkation day!

Cabin Review

Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah
Cabin 00V 8550

Concierge Hosts were wonderful and made the trip enjoyable. They were warm and friendly but not overly so. These ladies were the HIGHLIGHT of our cruise, they were nothing short of amazing. Tim the bartender was also very personable. Cabin was like putting lipstick on a pig, not a concierge cabin because you change the carpet & leave Elemis product (hardly any, never refilled even if empty, had to go and retrieve on your own)Connected to a 1 Bedroom just horrible, 6 people in there who didn't know "inside voice" Screaming inside & out on the balcony at screeching levels, scraping chairs, heavy walking and running feet overhead. Slight sewer smell from toilet, door opened in thus compromising space within. Felt really stupid for paying so much money for a cabin in this shape as well as a stateroom host who could care less. Again, Kamisha, Alina & Emanuella saved this cruise for us and were worth every penny, fantastic people.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

Adequate embarkation, parking deck G crowded but located a spot. Broken elevators though.

Key West

Captain Floyd was our guide, this was a great time.

Key West

The guide was annoying and a bit nasty too. The information was interesting though

Too crowded, very disorganized, did not feel safe walking around here.

Castaway Cay

Love this private Island. Rachard from the Sting Ray feeding was the friendliest young man. He even remembered us from last year, so professional, polite & just jovial. This young man is a joy to speak with. Lunch is consistent, drinks were cold.
