  3. Celebrity Edge
We were looking forward to being on the new Celebrity Edge . The embarkation was a breeze walked on and within 10 Minutes we were on board receiving our glass of sparkling wine. Doing the photos on line and downloading the passes was to our advantage. The decor of the ship is amazing as it the art work , although some of the designer seats are a bit uncomfortable and difficult to sit in. We were in a C3 cabin with and infinity balcony which we liked and had no problem with. our cabin attendant who was excellent at his job and looked after us well. We enjoyed all the areas on the ship our favourites being the Sunset Bar and the Roof Top Garden , It was great to sit in the Roof Top Garden Area have a drink and listen to the great Musicians that were entertaining us a various times of the day.. The gym is well equipped with modern machines and plenty of space. We enjoyed the concept of the MDR being split up into different themed dinning areas the food was great in all the areas and the service was good to excellent , the only one that let themselves down was the Normandy where the wine service was poor ,waiting 20 mins for a refill of wine on two different occasions just does not live up to the expected Celebrity Quality. We had and evening meal at the Roof Top Garden , the setting was great and it was not windy , the staff were excellent in looking after us. The food was like a good class BBQ and well presented. We also had lunch and breakfast in the Buffet Area the choice and layout was excellent with no crowding or people rushing in front of you. There is a nice place to eat the buffet at the rear of the ship with a shaded area as well , the waiter serving drinks looked after you. The Martini Bar was a nice area but again the layout does not help people standing waiting to be served as the people sitting were being served in front of the people standing we waited 15 mins to be served but this never happened but people sitting just looked up and got served. A good bar tender should be aware of his customers and serve them in the correct order, No problem at the Sunset Bar all staff very attentive and worked well. The gym is well equipped with modern machines and plenty of space. Eden was very interesting and grew on you lots of different entertainment and artists , although we did try two of there special Cocktails within our $15 dollar limit think they were called Plant and Earth no to our taste at all. Entertainment shows we saw were excellent , both comedians and the Bubble Trio. The Celebrity Excursion for Snorkelling at Cozumel was great , professional service with good instructions We saw lots of beautiful fish and a on the 2nd area caught sight of a baby stingray., good fun on the way back with some singing and dancing. , The Disembarkation was a bit confusing in trying to find the correct door to leave from with no clear signs after having left the Restaurant on the correct number being called , but after that it was straight forward and no problems going through Immigration. Would we go back again certainly, Celebrity Edge was a one of the best we have been on in 90 % of the areas we like but could improve slightly in Dinning Service Area. The cost for us from the UK appears to be rising greatly but at present is still worth it. Also we had two days Post Cruise in South Beach Miami did not know it was Spring Break that was another adventure but mostly enjoyable.

Enjoyed going to the Edge

Cabin Review

Concierge Class
Cabin C3 11255
We loved the cabin and the infinity Balcony , our bed was near to the entrance door so we had the full length of the cabin.
Excellent storage space with lots of nooks and cranies ( a Scottish Term).
Bed great to sleep on , shower and bathroom one of the best we have ever had,
Great electrical points and USB points.
Deck 12 Inside Cabins, Balcony Cabins, Suite Cabins
