As college spring breakers, Norwegian seemed attractive to us for its many perks such as getting free open bar for the entirety of the trip and free or reduced airfare. We chose the Norwegian Dawn and departed from Puerto Rico. As soon as we touched down in Puerto Rico, everything went as smooth as it possibly could. We went to the port and it literally took less than 20 minutes to get through everything and walk on to the ship. In my past experiences, embarkation took sometimes up to an hour and a half.
Ship and Cabin:
The ship was very nice and had a modern touch to it. The common spaces were all very nice and the ship was pretty easy to navigate. The outdoor spaces such as the pool were clean. The pool was relatively easy to get chairs at and service was quick. Our room was ready as soon as we got on and our bags were in our room within a couple hours of getting on the ship as well. The room was very clean and spacious and our steward introduced himself right off the bat and worked very hard.
The cabin was amazing and spacious! There was more than enough room for two girls and all their stuff.
Go to Carlisle Bay!! The amenities are amazing and so are the drinks! Pay $20 and get the chair and turtle experience. It was so much fun and amazing, you see so much!
We went to Magen's Bay on our own. It was a $10 ride round trip there in an awesome open air van! This was BY FAR our favorite day! The beach was amazing and the beach bar and food was amazing. We were sad to leave here and will come back time and time again!
The Virgin Gorda baths were amazing and beautiful! It was a bit strenuous though.
