Sail Date: Mar 2019
Cabin: Balcony

We ended up being a bit late for embarkation because of airport delays, and they still let us in, which was VERY VERY much appreciated.

The ship layout was a bit confusing especially the Deck 3 situation, but we managed (with a lot of walking). The elevators were usually very slow and crowded, so we tried to use the stairs as much as possible.

We had a balcony stateroom, the size was comparable to those on other cruise ships. what i LOVED is that the bed is right next to the window/balcony so you can see great views from your bed. We were on deck 6 and it was a bit loud at night, we could here music from I don't know where and people were ALWAYS slamming the door (no holding it when they shut it so that was really annoying, but that's just people not being considerate of others).

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

The cabin was average size and so was the balcony. the balcony has two chairs, one that you can recline which was great. The bathroom wasn't very pretty but it was clean. The shower has a curtain (opposed to a door) so that's kind of annoying/gross because of the size of the shower (tiny). We always had more than enough towels, facecloths, toilet paper, etc. which was awesome and there was enough storage shelves in the bathroom. The room also has plenty of closet space and a sofa bed.

Port Reviews

Miami

Our plane was very delayed so the shuttle didn't wait for us, but we were able to easily get a refund once on the ship.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

We didn't stop at this port because they said there was a medical emergency.

St. Thomas

we took a taxi to Megan's bay when we got to the port, it was 8$ per person plus 5$ per person to enter the beach. It was awesome, we got there very early so there was barely anyone on the beach. We loved it. there are bathrooms with soap and a restaurant/shop also which is very convenient.

San Juan

We got off the ship and took a tour of the city for 25$ each in a small bus. The tour took us to the major landmarks of the city and to the forts and the old san juan. It was a great way to see everything quickly, I'm glad we did it.

Grand Turk

I was very excited for this Port because there was a beach and shops right there when we got out. However, the beach was very dirty and crowded. They were selling beer in bottles and I found multiple pieces of glass in the sand, and they were also selling horse back riding on the beach (right were people were laying down and enjoy the sun), so there was horse poop in the sand and the smell was pretty bad... someone tried to cover the poop with sand which is kind of worst because i'm sure people would later step on it... A lot of people trying to sell things on the beach. And it wasnt very calm or relaxing like it looked in the pictures.
