Sail Date: Mar 2019
Cabin: Concierge Class Stateroom with Veranda

This was our 20th cruise and our 14th with Celebrity so we have sailed their other ships and wanted to try the Edge. We booked a concierge Infinite verandah. (cabin 9214). This cabin is on the starboard side aft of the Magic carpet. The view was great straight out however, looking forward your view was obstructed by the sides of the Magic Carpet rails/sky suite rooms. I was not impressed with the Infinite Verandah because it just did not feel like you were outside. It felt more like you were sitting in your room with the window open. Another thing that was noticeable to me was the height of the toilet and how much narrower the space it was in compared to an "S" class ship. I am an average size man and it did not give you much space. Other than that, the cabin was fine.

On the second day I wanted to walk each deck and check out the different areas compared to the Celebrity ships I have been on. I started on deck 15 and went straight to the Sunset Bar or should I say Sun Burn Bar. It seemed much smaller than what I was used to and the total lack of shade made it almost unusable for me. What should of been a shade cover was a clear glass roof that felt like a magnifying glass. I then explored the Roof top Garden and its funky furniture and big screen TV. For a outside TV the picture was fantastic. There were some nice seating areas to socialize but once again there was ZERO shade anywhere. The days that the biggest sports events were being played it was empty because nobody could stand the sun and heat. The pool was very nice but like always on sea days by 7:00 AM the chair hogs were out in force. Most prime real estate loungers had towel clips and books on them by 8:00 AM. In Celebrity's defense I did see the pool butlers removing items several times. As for the Martini Glass shaped hot tubs.... what were you thinking?! Yes, they looked cool but who wants to hike a flight of stair between the hot tub and the pool? As for the Solarium it was perfect. It had a giant size hot tub and a nice pool with plenty of lounge chairs.

The shops on Decks 4 and 5 were all up scale and way out of my price range. Even the store that sold Celebrity swag was overpriced. The least expensive thing I saw was $25 for a ball cap!

Concierge Class Stateroom with Veranda

Cabin C2

The Infinite Verandah was not for me. I prefer a standard balcony. The room had plenty of storage and was very nice. If you have the window down you can hear the music from up on the magic Carpet. The bathroom was nice however the toilet area is very tight. aqll in all it was nice.
