Sail Date: Mar 2019

This was a quick getaway for my husband & I. Having sailed on much larger ships before, we were slightly skeptical about this cruise. But then I read some really great reviews, & decided why not. It turned out to be everything we had hoped for & more! We met some really nice people; our cabin, though very small, was really well designed, we were not uncomfortable at all. The staff on the ship was friendly, cheerful, efficient, & hard working. Entertainment was good. We went to the theater 3 out of 4 nights, & we enjoyed ourselves. The Cruise Director’s staff were excellent! Very helpful, very encouraging. They drew us into lot of fun activities that we might not have otherwise participated in.

The food could have been better. We ate at the Asian restaurant once, the food was really sub par. If the food was served at the right temperature, it may have tasted better. We did not go back. We ate lunch at the MDR once, it was excellent. The Indian food at the buffet, though quite good, can also be improved.

There was a charter group (Trailor Park Boys) on the ship. There was initial concern about this on the boards, but as it turned out, there really wasn’t anything to be concerned about. The group was friendly & quite interesting. They were easy to spot because they kind of dressed alike! They had quite a lot of organized activities of their own. Whenever we did run into them, their enthusiasm was infectious! It was fun sharing the cruise with them. A side benefit was that the ship never felt crowded, even though it was 100% sold out.
