Chose this cruise for the ports of call and the voyage delivered that, otherwise probably my least favorite cruise. The cabin was quite satisfactory and our steward Rendra was superb. We opted for a window cabin , not a balcony but bigger than a porthole. We were on deck 5 and I and recommend it as you have easy access to both of the sit down "complimentary " eateries (Alizar and Grand Pacific) and to the sally ports at each destination. The buffet (Garden Cafe) was always crowded and the menu changed very little day to day and it was just ok so we usually opted for the "complimentary " sit down cafes or Jasmine (Asian) or O Sheehans (pub food). Service at the cafes was good. The seafood dishes were not good and there were 2 that were inedible although the Fish and Chips at O Sheehans was good. Great Prime Rib one night at Alizar and consistently great at Jasmine (other than the shrimp) . Be aware though than the menus at all the "complimentary cafes did not change much and you will not see Lobster Night on the voyage in the "complimentary cafes. Another blow was the $8.95 service charge levied for all room service even just a pot of coffee in the morning. All in all food was satisfactory but the least desirable of any cruise I have taken, I found even Carnival to be better. Wifi was expensive and slow. We did not take any of the NCL excursions but did hear some complaints from other passengers about both the quality and the required shopping stops. If you are wondering about the quotes around the term complimentary its because i found the use of the word amusing seeing as how we paid for the voyage and these meals were included in the price. On the plus side the embarkation and debarkation process were the best I have done. The ship and service is good the food very average except for the Jasmine and O Sheehans which had some really good dishes,Fish and Chips and the hamburger at O Sheehans and the pot stickers, the hot and sour soup and the orange beef at Jasmine. ( The hot and sour soup was the best I have ever had)
