We have been on 20 cruises( mostly on Celebrity) and always in a Suite. Princess Regal was our first on Princess Cruise Lines. This was our best experience yet, by far! The ship docks in Berth 2 in Ft. Lauderdale and arrives at 5:30 am. Because of this, the ship is cleared out very early and able to turn around quickly. We arrived at 9:45 am. We were the only ones at luggage drop off. Walked over to terminal to find only about 30 people inside on line waiting for security screening to open. Five minutes later we were though security and walking to an area where our medallions were scanned. Breezed on up to a lounge to have coffee, tea and snacks until we boarded 20 minutes later. (This lounge is a suite/elite cruiser perk) On the ship at 10:20 and eating at the International Cafe. Rooms were ready as well. So efficient! Medallion opens the cabin door as you approach with your photo on a screen. Muster drill was easy as jackets are no longer required. Ate at Crown Grill first night, and it was delicious. A very special dining experience. The shows were very entertaining, but wait for the 10 o'clock. Seats fill up very early for the 8 pm show. In cabin movies were all the Academy Award Winners and nominees. What a wonderful surprise to have such great movies. They are also shown nightly on the big screen on deck and in the afternoon in the Vista Lounge. Main dining room (Concerto) was easy to navigate for anytime dining. Jelena was the greatest waitress! Suites have a separate section called Club Class which has an enhanced menu. Ate lobster 4 times in one week. So indulgent. Service staff was wonderful. Our suite had 2 separate rooms, a double balcony, a very large bathroom and many closets. Our Concierge Lounge was right across the hall from R 605 (our suite) and featured sandwiches, drinks, sweets and a dedicated staff person to help you with your needs. Also a lending library. Room steward, James, was so efficient and nice to us. He was the best ever. Sabatini's offered a suite br.eakfast which was delicious and elegant

. Roland made us feel so welcome each morning. Everything on this ship is so well organized and thought out. They really have it all figured out, unlike so many other cruise lines. Disembark was so easy . Everyone was well informed as to the procedure. We walked off with our luggage at 6:28 am, breezed through customs(no forms) and in a cab by 6:40 going to the airport. Already booked our next cruise Feb of next year on the Sky Princess. Can't wait. Princess Regal sets the standard for all others to follow!

Cabin Review

Owner's Suite with Balcony

Cabin S3

Large 2 room suite with expansive bathroom, many closets, 2 TV's and double balcony. Balcony is not deep. but can still sit out in comfort. It doesn't need to be any larger even though people complain. Beautiful light colored modern furnishings and extremely clean!

One hour after leaving each morning, steward, James, had it all cleaned and ready to go!
