My wife and I have been on several cruises with different cruise lines. We've docked next to Oasis of the Seas and added this ship to our cruise bucket list. We are new empty-nesters and decided to take our first vacation in a long time. We booked Oasis, and we are beyond glad that we did!
What an amazing ship! It is extremely clean. Wanda in housekeeping, did an immaculate job keeping our room clean and tidy. She was so friendly and really made our vacation special. We had an ocean view room on the 9th floor. The window was huge, and it allowed us to look out and see the beautiful water and ports.
All of the shows were outstanding! Our favorites included "Come Fly with Me", the aqua show, and the ice show. We were never bored. In fact, we were exhausted by the end of the day from all of the activities that we did.
Food - All of the food was delicious! The MDR service was great, but even the food in Windjammer exceeded our expectations. Yes, it is a buffet, but it was tasty and uniquie every day. You will definitely want to try Sabor, the Mexican cantina on the ship. It was the best Mexican food we've ever had. Try the margaritas and the guacamole was delicious!
Embarkation/Debarkation - Quick and easy. The whole process took about 25 to 30 minutes each time. Port Canaveral does an amazing job moving over 6,000 people quickly.
The 7-nights went by quickly and we can't want to check out another Oasis-class ship soon!
The window was huge. You can literally sit inside it to look out. Our room was the perfect size for 2 adults. It was also very clean.
Embarkation was quick and easy. We got to the port by 9:30 AM. We were check in by 10:15, and on board by 11:15.
Falmouth is a nice port with lots of shops and food to sample. The shop owners aren't too pushy. That's saying something because we normally don't like Jamaica because of the rude pushy shop owners.
Gorgeous resort built and owned by RCCL. You must try a Labadoozie drink! The shop owners can be pushy and rude.
