Food: great and I consider myself a foodie; fresh, varied, consistently good.
We ate at Bistro, La Cucina and Cagney's -- all worth the upgrade. Based on reviews, I was expecting the food to be worse than my last cruise with Celebrity. It was at par, maybe a smidge inferior, but only a smidge.
Mixed drinks were strong, not watered down as I read in prior reviews. Cocktails were a tad weak. But with so many options, there were many ways to enjoy drinking. Just don't go looking for Craft beers.
Loved the modern decor. Everything was well appointed, clean and luxurious. Beds are short though. Anyone over 6' will have to sleep diagonally.
20 dollar taxi to Paradise Beach. We enjoyed a super beach day. Plenty of loungers in the shade, super beach, tasty lunch. Very reasonably priced (6 pp plus 42 for a Mexican platter with three beers)
Found this quaint resto, Nahoch Kay at the end of the boardwalk. Free to use a lounger with reasonable purchase of food/drinks. Very tasty lunch. Great service as well.
This is the all-inclusive experience you secretly wish to have but have accepted that you won't get because you booked a cruise instead. Only you get to have both. Awesome beach and pool day.
