We chose this as a first time cruise and because we weren’t sure if cruising was for us, well we certainly weren’t disappointed,embarkation was an absolute breeze, onboard within half an hour of arriving at port, next stop was the bar for a quick refreshment, a few to choose from, lovely bar staff waiting to greet you, next we thought we would check out our cabin we could not fault anything, it was a good size for the 2 of us, and almost ready so we left housekeeping to add the final touches, we then took a walk around the ship to familiarise ourselves, then it was off to raffles for a lovely lunch, the food in all of the restaurants is lovely and something to suit everyone’s taste. We had shore excursions booked for most ports and weren’t disappointed with any except Casablanca , it just wasn’t for us, but getting off and on the ship at ports is very straight forward just remember your key card, from the washy washy ladies and gents right up to the management side of the Norwegian spirit, nobody can do enough for you, nothing is too much bother and they really do bend over backwards for you, we will definitely cruise again and it will definitely be with ncl, my only but, is Casablanca, we didn’t enjoy it one bit and from what a lot of other passengers said neither did they, next time I’d stay on the ship.but other than that every other port was to our satisfaction, Madeira was the most enjoyable an absolutely gorgeous place and the toboggan ride is a must. Met some lovely people and some not so, but it’s all part of the experience, It was all over far too quick and before we knew it it was time to disembark, which is very well organised can’t wait to do it all over again one day,
