First the positives (because there are many) The ship was clean. the crew were all friendly and polite. The ship is clean, everywhere and you never had to wait long for an elevator. To get off the ship for excursions was organized and easy. The food was pretty good. We ate at the Tuscan Grill for the first night and Nazareen was the person who would get us anything to drink. We saw her in the buffet every morning after and she remembered us and always smiled. She was very sweet.
One thing that is a MUST on this ship is to go to Qsine restaurant. It is a specialty restaurant and you have to pay extra but it is well worth the extra price. It was the best meal we have had on any ship. Before each course there is a video/show that plays out on everyone's table and plate. Le Petit Chef catches and prepares your meal. When the video is finished, it disappears from the table and your waiter serves you with the same dish Le Petit Chef just prepared in front of you. This goes through every course and is very entertaining and great food!!! Don't miss this!
We had anytime dining and always had to wait 15-30 minutes to be seated (there were 6 of us). The staff were very nice and the food was good.
The cabin was the best we've had. This was actually our first balcony/veranda stateroom. It had an obstructed view. The top of the lifeboats were up to the top of our balcony rail. It wasn't really a problem. We could still look out and see the water. We just couldn't look straight down to see the water. I would certainly not complain if we had this room again. The veranda was still nice even with the obstruction, and less expensive :-)
Brimstone Hill was amazing. The drive was nice and much to see once we got there.
We chose not to do an excursion and just hang out near the port and take a water taxi to the downtown area. They're really trying hard to get people into the stores and purchase something. I guess the French side is still trying to recover from the hurricane. We were at the Dutch side.
