San Francisco still has only one Princess ship home ported there, the Grand Princess. Los Angeles has maybe four ships, Seattle a couple, Florida too many and Australia so many I can't recall all of them. San Francisco, that beautiful city, has but ONE. The food on board is good but needs some help. I remember years ago on the very old Fair Princess, the dining room was outstanding and everyone loved the menu. I fondly remember that old ship.
Sabatini's used to be good but since its remodel, I suggest you skip it. The Crown Grill is very good but the cost is too much for the food you get. Staff is extremely nice and seem to be happy. All in all, Princess needs to come into the present day a bit more and get TWO ships in San Francisco, one to do Hawaii and Alaska and one to do Mexico and the two coastals. Getting on and off the ships are the easiest of all the ships I have ever been on. So fast and efficient.
The Hawaii itinerary is awesome. From the moment you step on board, yo are in Hawaii. Brian and Rowena Vasquez your Hawaiian Ambassadors made the guests feel welcome. The stops are wonderful but I miss not seeing Kailua-Kona on the Big island. Even though, all the ports are beautiful and the late night in Honolulu is great.
Excellentt, New mattresses awesome. I want one. I always get a Caribe deck balcony cabin, aft starboard. The cabin is more than adequate, the location is perfect, handy to the Botticelli Dining Room and the Horizon Court. TVis huge and it really doesn't have to be that large. Fridge is perfect. My room stewards have always been perfect, warm friendly and always greet me with a wave and a 'I Mr. Ernie!' I always feel at home on Princess ships.
Saw a new show in October and it was outstanding...I want to see it again.
San Francisco is an incredible port to sail out and in to. Breathtaking...
I always walk to the Aloha Mixed Plate for lunch then across to Longs for macadamia nuts then back slowly to the ship.
Ensenada is boring. Once the Jones Act is repealed PCL can skip this port.
