I chose this cruise because I wanted to try NCL and the new ship the BLISS. The race car track and laser tag peaked my interest as well as the specialty dining options. I am a die-hard Disney Cruise Line fan and I have cruised on Royal Caribbean and Princess. I would rate Disney #1, Royal Caribbean and NCL tied for second and Princess #3.

Let's get to it; embarkation was super fast and easy. It seemed like confusion but they move you through the line quickly and get you on-board. It took us about 35 minutes from getting off the bus at the port to walking through the casino on the ship. There were 8 in my party.

We went straight to guest services to get our race car and laser tag reservations ($9.95/person) and our dinner reservations for Cagney's (could not book 8 online). No problem with any of this. In and out in 15 minutes or so. The reservations were not handled at Guest Services, they were done at the Social Club and the Tepanyaki restaurant.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

Mid ship mini suite w/balcony. Three adults in this cabin. I would not do 4 in a mini suite unless two are small children. The sofa bed is not comfortable and is really only meant for one person. My daughter requested additional comforters for added cushion. She needed 3 additional (no problem getting them from guest services). Two twins made into a queen was comfortable for me and my wife. Cabin has limited closet space (Royal Caribbean has the biggest) but the suitcases can fit under the bed. Coffee maker in the cabin with coffee and tea. Mini fridge is stocked with drinks but there is a charge for them. Since it is already stocked there is no room for your water. Ice was delivered twice daily. Balcony is a good size with two chairs and a small table (no lounger). Bathroom is the best part of the cabin. One big sink with two faucets, shelf for storing items, two drawers under the sink, big shower with 6 jets. Soft close doors and drawers. Another couple in our party had a balcony room (2 adults). A little smaller than the mini suite with a smaller bathroom. Perfect for two. Room attendant Donnalee was excellent and fast. Room was cleaned 2-3 times daily.

Port Reviews

Tortola

Did not take an excursion but we should have. The port had a few stores, very limited amount of souvenirs, not much to see or do.

Nassau

Been to Nasau plenty of times. Always the same. Busy, crowded not very clean. If you like being in the thick of things, this is a great port for you!
