I explored Miami for a few days before going on the cruise. I went to the Art Deco weekend which I can recommend. It is on Ocean Drive. Lots to see, shop and eat. Near the beach. The Viscaya mansion is also a great visit with a European feel and lovely gardens. A beautifull look over the bay.
I came early for embarkation. They forgot to stamp my pasport at the airport so it was a bit of a husstle to prove when I came into the country. I had my Esta visa and my travel plans including tickets at hand. The lady at the desk was very helpfull and got it sorted out.
It beeing my first cruise I took my fist day to have lunch and explore the ship. Rooms are ready around 1.30 in the afternoon. Diner was very nice every day in the dining room. A good selection of food, nice people at the table and lovely staf. It is a bit of a labyrint getting around the ship. I liked all the bands playing in the evening, enjoyed a lot of live music. I am not really a show person.
Plenty of space for 1 person. Bathroom a bit small but still ok. Large TV, roomservice handy for breakfast, plenty of closet space, a desk, good bed, very clean.

Key West is easy to explore by walking. There are plenty of thing to do and see for every taste. There is a beach near the south point, there is a lot of culture and there are plenty of bars.
I took a taxi to Chankanaab which has a lovely beach, snorkling, seelions, dolphins, allagators and some nature.
