Communications between the ship and passengers was horrendous. We waited on line for hours to check in to get onboard with no explanation. We were not allowed back on the ship in Port Canaveral for over an hour with no explanation. Line dancing classes were always late or didn't happen, no explanation. 4th day out ship ran out of straws, no explanation. Unable to report problem in elevator, no one answered the telephone, not even the operator. Although I really enjoyed the number of dance lessons (even on port days), most dance instructors were not trained, the worst we’ve experienced in our 37 cruises. Cruise director, Alvin, promised to replace the worst dance instructor who couldn’t even keep a count and did not keep his word. The 10 people in our group were mostly dancers and enjoyed a lot of the music onboard but were disappointed in the lack of floor space available. Pictures of the ship showed a beautiful large dance floor in the Manhattan Dining Room which was a deciding factor in choosing this cruise/ship. When we got there, we were disappointed to find that 80% of the dance floor was covered with tables and chairs.
Loved the fish on the carpet in the passageways showing direction of the front of the ship. The “Make up the Room” system is excellent. Soft drinks included in the drink package was better than some other lines. The orange juice was better than most other cruise lines and tomato juice almost always available which was nice. However, the Pina Colada’s were horrible. The food was mediocre at best and very spicy for most tastes.
Booked a mini suite but found it was smaller than other ships with very little storage space for two people. Passageways were very narrow forcing passengers to step into a doorway to allow others to pass going in the other direction. Had to reserve shows, tenders, games etc.
Smaller than other mini suites we have enjoyed. Less storage than all other mini suites.
Embarkenation was horrendous.
There is nothing to see or any place to go unless you go on an excursion or take a $25 shuttle into town.
After swimming in the ocean, came out covered with black silt.
If you got off the ship you were forced to go through a 2 story mall with dozens of shops. Also to get back on the ship you were forced to go back through the same mall to get to the ship.
