We love NCL, but for the first time, a bit disappointed in some aspects.

We chose this cruise due to school vacation timing and we loved our last cruises on the Breakaway so the Escape was a win win. We chose NCL because we love the cruise line. With that said, the embarkation process was very disorganized and for the first time, there were lines forming all over the place. We did not get onto the ship without being redirected three times and shoved out of the way in the port. We have never had any issue previously so we were a little shocked at what a disaster it was to get onto the ship.

Once on board, the cruise of waiting and lines began. There seemed to be problems with the NCL app and we had to get into that line multiple times for it to get fixed. The lines for reservations were also endless and only a few individuals were there to assist guests. Though I am an optimist and waited patiently, I was disappointed in NCL's customer service. I just expect more from them.

There clearly was an outbreak of Norovirus. I always clean my cabin down and use all precautions when cruising. Our room steward was amazing and always cleaned thoroughly as well. Seeing that this was an issue, I would have appreciated the workers in the buffet serving if this was an issue. I washed my hands going in every time I did visit the buffet, used one hand for serving myself, and washed my hands thoroughly upon exiting.

Great cabin, great location! Love the mini-suite. The bathroom space makes it all worth it.
