We booked 2 years ago and have been used to the Diamond and Golden Princess size ships. We didn't find it too big to walk around but we felt that the public rooms had been enlarged a little but too many people crowded into them causing congestion and a lot of noise. The practice of using the Piazza for activities such as Line Dancing classes instead of the Vista Lounge was a bad move. Most people go to the Piazza to sit down, have a coffee and meet people. When the so-called music started and a female with high pitched voice started yelling instructions into the microphone you couldn't hear yourself think. The music was not good apart from the piano player Marius because once again it was too high pitched and loud. The impressionist was excellent. Where, oh where, were the string quartets and trios??? Because it affected all the music mayabe the amplification was at fault. I daren't wear my hearing aids in the Piazza for fear of ear damage so consequently had trouble hearing people. On sea days you could hardly move because there were too many people around. The activities in the public area were not well planned when everybody was coming out of the lounges at the same time and trying to get through people who were waiting. The sudoku puzzle wasn't changed in the IT room. The Passenger Service staff on the whole didn't seem to know what they were doing and were quite unhelpful when a seat collapsed under me in the Princess Theatre. They wanted me to go to the doctor in 2 hours time when they opened and pay for it myself. We had to fill in 4 reports that essentially said the same thing and no apologies. Cabin staff were mediocre but Concerto dining staff were excellent even if the food was a bit tasteless.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony (obstructed view)

Cabin DW

De Luxe Balcony Cabin. Double bed with small settee and coffee table and one chair.

Theoretically it was partially obstructed but you had to lean very far over the railings to get obstructed views. Very conveniently placed midships on the starboard side. A short walk to the lifts which went down to the atrium and up to deck 16. Very little movement and quiet. The Pillows were too big and I never managed to get a smaller one and the towels were tiny when you're used to spa towels. Took 2 days to get an ice refill. Bathroom was tiny but normal for ships.Toilet roll was placed too far from the toilet.
