We actually were on the ship for 28 days starting Jan. 26th. so we were able to see the changes in entertainment over the 3 cruises.
Technical summary:
Let me start with the Medallion wifi, my profile/email to this day still fails for Ocean apps. This only hinders specialized services like 7/24 gambling so I can not comment. It was a learning experience to access wifi and queues at the internet cafe were long and daily. The medallion orientation process could be more considerate of the average age of well over 55 that had experienced from previous cruise that once you press the internet button the minutes start. It's not the case here, once you log your device on you still have to push a few more buttons. It's a challenge having @ 2:00 a Medallion orientation in the Princess Theater when folks are still trying to find their state room and clothes at least this is a good attempt (maybe a sticker on your mirror would help). The WiFi is fast, service staff can call you by your name since your pic is displayed on their tablets and the log out excellent. There is now a forecast app on your TV which replaces the patter forecast again it's a learning experience to find it but pretty cool along with a GPS app. One item that is still missing is THE SUN RISE AND SUN SET TIMES camera lovers good luck. The bridge knows when these events happen we don't.
We like the interior cabins on the 5th. deck behind the art work for our Caribbean cruises. We are there to sleep and change. Having said that the beds are still lumpy and pillows too large. The new TV is pretty cool and there are 2 min videos about using Ocean Apps etc... I think passengers should be informed about this (they may be but the first day is too hectic).
