Marella Celebration Cruise Review by DPB1965

Trip Details
  • Sail Date: Sep 2018
  • Destination: the Western Mediterranean

My wife and myself went on a 2 week cruise aboard the above named ship and prior to going upgraded to a superior room at a cost of almost £700.00.

When we arrived on board we didn't even have a double bed.

The ship is in dire need of a makeover, the pools (if you could call them that) were closed for almost the entire duration of the cruise.

The entertainment was very poor and at best amateurish.

This was our first time on a TUI cruise and it will be our last.

The food was nice most of the time but there seemed to be a significant wait every evening if you wanted to dine in the restaurant.

We had 3 or 4 days of poor weather in the first week and there was very little to do, you would have thought there would have been some activities in place for when the weather was poor.

Cabin Review

Cabin Upgraded to a superior room. Deck 8

Extremely poor considering we paid almost £700 to upgrade, you get a balcony extra for this on other cruise lines. It was also small.
