This ain't my first rodeo! I've been fortunate enough to have been on a dozen or more cruises in the past and this was my 3rd NCL cruise. The first was absolutely horrible and the second was much better so we took a third chance. The following is my loonnnggg explanation of my honest opinion.

Booking the cruise was a complete and utter disaster and made me want to change cruise lines but there were 13 other people I was to travel with so I was outvoted. We wanted to book on the Pearl, I believe, it was out of Tampa but had issues with the group department. We booked anyway but ended up getting cancelled because someone with more money than us apparently chartered the whole ship. Fortunately, my husband is a teacher and he was home on spring break when this happened so he was able to get us rebooked on the Getaway. This was frustrating though because Miami costs more to fly to and hotels cost more.

Embarkation/disembarkation was fine each time except the maze we had to travel with our luggage on Sunday morning but whatever, not a huge deal.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

Another fake setup island but it was cute

Cozumel

Shops galore everywhere and constant heckling for you to go into their shops. We only went into the ones where people weren't harassing us.

Harvest Caye

As mentioned in my review I cannot stand fake islands setup this way. We did a monkey river eco tour which was really great.
