Summary: The Celebrity Edge strives to be a luxury ship, but without the associated service. It is an amazing ship, and perhaps one of the smoothest rides regardless of the weather. The Avant Garde decorations and statutes are interesting, if not somewhat strange. Many passengers said they were a waste of money and useable space. They might appeal to art aficionados. The downside is they remove some of the ambience found in older Celebrity ships. Many passengers voiced concern that Celebrity has neglected the passenger (except the elite in suites) at the expense of a fancy ship. So if they are trying to be a luxury cruise company, they have a long way to go in customer satisfaction. One aspect of this is the high end charges for everything. The standard beverage package no longer works in most restaurants or bars except for the basic drinks. Fancier drinks, like those in the Martini Bar, all start around $20, putting them out-of-reach of the classic beverage package ($9 limit). The ship:

The room was very nice and comfortable. The "infinite balcony" or whatever you called it was nice. Only problem was the sticky window opening (again, a new ship minor mechanical glitch).
