This ship is not for everybody. I do not recommend this cruise for people who don't like crowds (usually military, law enforcement, etc). Their were 5500 people on this ship, not including the help. There are two small pools that are always packed and people leave their towels on the chairs for hours. Even though a sign is posted, towels will be removed after 30 minutes, they never were. If you want a chair by the pool, recommend going at 7:30 am.

Their were always long lines for restaurants. Dinner at the nicer restaurants was excellent. However, recommend you make reservations at these restaurants as soon as you book the trip, otherwise you will be waiting 20-30 minutes to be seated. We tried making reservations a couple of weeks prior to the cruise, but had to settle for an early seatting, which made it difficult on days we were in port.

In regards to shore excursions, book them as soon as you can. Many sold out quickly. The snorkeling in St Maarten was fantastic and we had so much fun, but the city tour in Puerto Rico was okay. The guide basically drove around and parked three times and said you have 15 minutes to explore the area. I would call it more of a drive-by.
