To get out of cold weather and enjoy the sun and warmth of the Caribbean. This cruise was on a ship with the implementation of the latest Princess marketing project. The Mediallion. The implementation was very weak, and the only real benefit was the excellent internet service. Although to receive the full benefit you must purchase the service with unlimited time. Then it will be like using your wireless network at home. The time required to embark and disembark the ship using the Mediallion did not save us any time. Actually it took us more time to complete the process. The cruise card was quicker. If fact you have to carry both the Mediallion and the cruise card, as food and drink purchases only use the cruise card. Go figure. Additionally, we were supposed to be able to approach our stateroom door and the door would open. This never did work without touching the panel on the wall and waiting. Princess removed the small slot on the wall for paper notices to be placed. Now they are slid under your door on the floor. So watch out when you open the door and not slip and fall on the papers on the floor. We also tried to use the OceanNow app to order food or drinks. It never did work. You cannot purchase but very few of the Mediallion accessories. This is truly mind blowing, as Princess has been marketing this service for at least three years. And they cannot even get the accessories in stock. Someone is not keeping their eye on the ball when it comes to the Mediallion services and products. Don’t expect to see what you have read in the marketing materials. Some of the items on the dining menu have had their recipes changed, as Princess has hired a new chief to revise the menus. We liked the old recipes better than these new recipes. It reminds me of the New Coke vs. the Classic Coke. Why mess with something that isn’t broke. Leave it alone, or if you want to make changes, add some additional items to the menu. This would make it better. Other than these short comings, this was a very enjoyable cruise.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin was fine. Clean, but starting to show some wear.
