I've sailed on Royal Carribean, Celebrity, and Carnival. The experience here was really below any of the others. Our cabin had multiple maintenance issues, we had issues booking shore excursions, the customer service staff always seems to begin any interaction with the position that the customer was wrong, the onboard internet system was buggy and resulted in extra charges, and their app had a tendency to hang up and abend.
One really interesting thing we learned was related to their excursions. Due to issues with their booking system we couldn't sign up for the excursion we wanted. A search for the excursion online did turn up a vendor that had specifically what we wanted. When we contacted that vendor, they told us that we could only book if we were at a hotel as they had an agreement with Norwegian that prohibited them from booking any passengers directly (Something we couldn't do because of issues in the booking system). Had we been able to book this directly our cost would have been $89. The cost to book this through Norwegian was $147. Feels a bit like their model is to price gouge customers.

The cabin had a number of maintenance issues. For whatever reason, they had installed the wrong light bulbs in the fixtures above the bunks. These hung down and created a safety issue. Within 5 minutes my son had accidentally bumped it raining glass down on the beds. One evening we came back to the cabin to find the carpet soaked from an AC issue. The brought in a fan to try and dry it out but is left the cabin smelling really bad. Ironically the customer service staff didn't seem to believe us and had to see for themselves.
I'd say overall this ship is ready for refurbishment.
