Highlight of ship is the infinite veranda rooms. Bathrooms are spacious with plenty of storage. Rooms are well laid out. Room has nice open bright feel. Great lighting. Power operated black out shade. Balcony innovation is awesome. Inner doors close flush to wall to become virtually invisible. Outer glass is power operated so that upper glass lowers behind lower glass to make whole room become a balcony. Closet is a little small. Full length mirror could be better located. Desk runs though it. Draw space is nice. Nice size TV. Ships lack physical fun things to do like surf rider, zip lines, rope coarse etc. Nice walking and jogging track with up hill and down hill feature. Magic carpet is basically just another bar - lounge area. By day it's on the pool deck and by night on a lower deck. 1 night it is used as a specialty dining venue. A couple we were traveling with said that was nice. We didn't try it. Ship does not offer a good venue for large gatherings. Pool area is nice. Large pool. Even with a large area taken up with cabanas available for an extra charge we had no problem finding deck chairs as late as 10:00 AM on sea days. Grand foyer dance floor is a postage stamp and venue can’t hold very many people. Upper deck does not have a lounge. Elite nightly lounge is in the club (disco). Can’t watch ocean and sunsets. Only 1 deck party on 7 day cruise. Pool deck not set up for good parties. Band is virtually invisible tucked in corner on above deck. Feels disconnected from people. Roof top garden has bouts with sererage odor from somewhere. Gym is large and airy but needs additional lower weight dumb bells from 30 lbs down. Plenty of machines of all types. Guest entertainers were very good. Bands were good. Ship missing the one or two big shows other cruise lines offer. Cruise review type shows were not great. Late night club is limited to disco. Casino was very good. Happy to not see automatic machines on blackjack tables. 6 to 5 blackjack payout should be stopped. Fine Cut steak house is not worth extra money. Some choices were not available or were not recommended by waiter due to quality. Le Petite is a one time novelty. Set 4 course menu with 3 dimensional presentation on your table for each course. Eden is also a one time novelty. Again, it's a set menu with 5 courses. 2 choices per course. Very small portions but the 5 courses in total will fill you. Food was very good. Presentation was superb. Service was excellent. Characters and setting really don’t add to the meal. Much better use of space could be found. Main dining 4 venues is nice. Decor changes with a feel of a smaller restaurant. Food choices designed to individualize each venue are very limited. Only difference is 3 appetizers and 3 main courses. Dining reservations were easy to change and staff was very accommodating. You need My Time dining to make reservations in main dining rooms prior to cruise. The way it’s done on Royal Caribbean Anthem is better. Service and food in main dining is just as good as specialty dining without added cost. Ship basically suited for middle age to older clientele. Not much happening after 11:30. Facial recognition embarkation and leaving the ship was awesome. Fast and efficient. Didn't have to go through customs as a US citizen if you had nothing to declare.

Port Reviews

Tortola

Cable beach was nice. Bathroom facilities and food available. Costs $16 round trip in open air vehicles. Takes about half hour to get there. Some nice elevated views enroute

St. Maarten

Always our favorite island in the Caribbean. Dutch side has best shopping, especially for jewelry. Great easily reachable beach. $7.00 all day ferry from ship. Fast large boats which run continuously. About 10 minute trip. Beach umbrella with 2 chairs and 5 drinks will cost $15 to $25. Nice bars and restaurants along boardwalk.
