14 days of gorgeous sunny warm weather in a January is ideal. Cruise guests were mostly old. Many guests were repeat guests who liked longer cruises. I had a good time on the Reflection. As one of Celebrity’s newest ships, it looked fresh and well kept. Our cabin was in good shape. Furniture was comfortable. Our cabin steward was new. He was friendly. However, we had to ask for several basic items that were not already in the cabin. Shower caps,smooth soap, robes, ice, pen, paper, laundry bags. Towels were thin and not very absorbent. Asked for extra towels. The public areas were also clean and nicely appointed. Pool area had lots of chaises and areas in the shade. Never had to go far to find an empty chaise. The buffet area was often crowded. There were many times when I had to wait to find an empty table. Buffet seating was not adequate. Food choices were good. However, there were often lines of people waiting to be served. Pool grill was good. The Main Dining Room was better than the buffet. Service was excellent. The food was good, not great. Menus are old and worn. Choices haven’t changed in years. It would be nice if Celebrity would freshen up their menus and offer new dishes. We also ate dinner one night at the Tuscan Grill. I really enjoyed the filet. Loved the Tea at Cafe Al Bacio. Entertainment was good. The musical groups were excellent. Music soup was my favorite. Evening shows were good. The Library was sadly lacking books. There is no longer a daily News sheet. Guest services said that they don’t print it anymore because people check news on the web. That only works on ships that include free WiFi for all guests. We enjoyed time in the ports, met lots of nice people, and had a good time.
