We really had a great time on the Vista. This was our 18th cruise and 8th on Carnival. We like to spend the night in Galveston the night before due to fog in February. Our favorite parking place is EZ Cruise which can be booked online. Embarkation was probably the fastest ever in Galveston. We hopped on at 12 and were in our cabin by 1:30. We booked the extended AFT cabin #9477 and absolutely loved it. We were center ship with an overhang that protected us from rain one day. We looked down on the other cabins and Havana Deck with two spas and a pool (open to public at 7pm.) I loved watching the water behind us and the sunrises and sunsets. I had read reviews and knew there was not a huge lobby or atrium area. I enjoyed watching the huge lights with videos of undersea life, butterflies, etc. The theatre is not like other ships. You sit in chairs and there are no tables. There is one stage in front of the other and I would get there early to be able to see both. Flick was great, we'd seen it before. We enjoyed "Your time" dining and had a table for 2 every night near a window. Things were lively by the pool and we had wonderful, sunny weather for Jamaica and Cozumel..... some rain in the Cayman's. We had 3 Sea Days, gambled some and watched some really good movies (on Demand) when we were too sunburned to move! The water slides were great and the bicycles above were always in use. You do go over the water and if you are afraid of heights - may have a problem. There were 7 ships in port in Cozumel but everyone seemed to get on and off just fine. Debarkation started a little late but moved along smoothly. We booked the Hard Rock all Inclusive beach trip in Jamaica (Carnival Excursion) and were honored to have the Norwegian Musician's tour join us! It was fun listening to their bands. In Cozumel we went to Nochi Cocum on our own, next to (booked up) Mr. Sanchos. In the Caymans, we went to Royal Palms, cute beach bar, and 7 mile beach in the rain - but who cares when you are cruising?! The ship is huge and so are the hearts of the workers. We loved the Vista. Happy Cruising!

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin 8N

We loved this balcony. The central location of this cabin is perfect, right below the pool and above all other cabins so no one is looking down on it. Watching the waves was mesmerizing. It is extended so you do have 4 chairs and 2 tables. It got sun on half of it and was protected from rain. You are at the back of the ship which can be a long walk when you debark mid ship or forward. We could walk up the flight of stairs to get breakfast and coffee and that was nice. I loved this cabin.
