Second time on HOS for us, we did the New Years Eve last year 2017-18 Western and decided to celebrate a family birthday this year on the Eastern itinerary. Embarkation was a breeze at 11 am and we were able to get the cabana at Labadee when we boarded at 11:15 am. They were sold out when we booked the cruise. There were a few left to book on embarkation day. I love the Nellys cabana for the 6 of us, nice to get the shade and service.

Still the awesome ship and Captn. Gus in charge. We loved the ultimate dining package and lightning fast internet package. We loved the Silent Disco again!! So great!! We only did one night in MDR since we booked late and only got My Time, it is a bit of a wait on MyTime for the lobster night on Thursday but perfectly good. We were spoiled since we spent the other 6 nights in the specialty restaurants with 2 nights in Wonderland and 150 Central Park. Highly recommend if available at the reduced rate.

We did ports on our own since we had done them before and thoroughly enjoyed. Casino staff is friendly, spent a few hours at Roulette; enjoyed the guitar singer at the Pub for a few nights who is excellent!

Cabin Review

Boardwalk View Balcony

Cabin 1I

Not noisy as I suspected; view of Aqua theatre and ocean in the aft . The attendant was amazing; brought us a fan as we like white noise. Free soda package and lunch at Johnny Rockets. Convenient! Lots of storage and room for us 2.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

My group of 6 grabbed a taxi at the port line to MAHO one way, we watched some planes then Mario our driver took us to Mullet Bay for 3 dollars each to relax on that beach (a short drive) and enjoy Daleos ribs on the beach. He agreed to meet us at an agreed time to return to the ship. There are other drivers there if needed. Highly recommend this, we could still watch planes from Mullet but it is a better beach with more room, chaises, calm water, sandy bottom. Maho is more of a zoo!! But I am glad we saw Maho and watched some planes come in. I highly recommend doing this on your own!! Bring cash.

San Juan

Love San Juan - so easy to walk off the ship, do shopping and visit the fort on your own. It is hot and uphill so wear good walkers and a hat. LOL. We enjoyed the Coach outlet and the Tommy Bahama store and visited the church and a small chapel. We had been to the fort before but walked over to see it again. Looked at some jewelry stores on the way back. We came back to the ship for lunch and more of our beverage package to enjoy the Solarium while not crowded and the view of San Juan from the ship is lovely!!

Labadee

We enjoyed our Nellys cabana. The bbq lunch was beach delicious; the bars had some wait so we relied on our cabana attendant to get our beverages. Always a great day on Labadee!! Floated on the water with beach floats and enjoyed the sun.
