We chose Norwegian because we have had a good experience with them after 6 NCL cruises. We chose the itinerary because it sounded so interesting with the Strait of Gibralter, Casablanca, the Canary Islands, Funchal, and then other ports in Spain. We chose a penthouse suite for the first time and WOW! It was wonderful. Quite a splurge but worth it. We prefer the aft of the ship because you can see so much more on the balcony. The food was excellent at Cagney's and was quite good in the main dining rooms also. We're not much for drinking, so we cancelled our beverage package. They charge extra in Spanish waters for drinks. The shows were very good and worth going to each evening. We did walk around the ship which is beautiful, but with all the shore excursions, when we were sailing we mostly relaxed on our balcony and enjoyed the special attention of the penthouse suite. Next cruise we will probably go back to the mini-suite but the splurge for once provided us with quite a memory. We recommend NCL, the Spirit, and the itinerary. Wonderful cruise!

Aft-Facing Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SG

Beautiful accommodation ! Table and chairs in dining area. Nespresso machine for coffee and tea. Butler Cons was fantastic in reading our minds. He always seemed to know what to bring and when to bring it. Large bathroom area. Comfy bed in its own area.
