We booked this cruise over a year ago based on the Singapore, Viet Nam and Hong Kong Itinerary. Unbeknownst to us, this was going to be the first cruise after the Millenium was being refurbished in dry-dock. The ship was being "touched up" right up to the time we sailed and throughout the sailing.

We were told to arrive any time between 11:30 AM and 3:30 AM. Registration was fairly uncomplicated. Groups were seated based on cabin class. One of the ship's vocalist played as entertainment (beautiful voice), while we waited. Finally, at just after 12:30, an hour late, we were allowed to board.

There was a great deal of excitement as everyone came aboard. The crew was very welcoming and went out of their way to assist. There was a nervous excitement in the air.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class

Our cabin felt like a "brand new" cabin. It reminded me of when we've done home construction and there are always a few things not complete. The new beds are AMAZING! Best sleep we've had in years. We are trying to find out the brand as we'd like to buy them for home. We loved the decor.

Port Reviews

Singapore

We were in Singapore for two nights pre-cruise. We stayed at The Four Seasons Hotel which we found conveniently located near the botanical gardens and shopping areas. We did manage to do a little sight-seeing on our own but that 13 hour time difference plus jet-lag was challenging. We hope to go back to enjoy the great food and to see a bit more. Singapore is quite expensive in general. We had some amazing meals here.

Nha Trang

We chose to do the Ho Chi Minh City Tour. It is a long day and Viet Nam is quite hot. We had a very good tour guide, nice tour mates and air conditioning. We found the tour to be very informative. Having grown up with the Viet Nam war, there was a lot to process as we drove and saw this very interesting city. We did change $100 USD at the post office and would advise not to change money in Viet Nam. Everyone accepts USD so don't bother and save yourself from being stuck with leftover Dong.
