As most, we booked this cruise for the opportunity to see the Antarctic. With that comes a lot of sea days and few port days which would normally not be our choice. We've cruised with Celebrity before and also with Oceania, Princess and Royal Caribbean.
The Buenos Aires embarkment could have been better. Outside the port, there were so many taxis that our taxi driver dropped us off about a block away to make our own way with all our luggage. Once we got to the area, our luggage was taken from us (great) and we went into a large room with lots of chairs to wait our turn. After about 25 minutes, we went through security and then went to our priority line. To get to the ship, we had to take a bus for a 15 minute drive since the port is very industrial. All went smoothly but hectic.
Our concierge cabin was fine but did need some upgrades. I liked the fact that the shower was a little larger than our showers on Solstice or Equinox - every little bit helps. Our seward, Sunjay, was excellent - always asking what he could do for us and being very friendly.
Cabin was very comfortable. Our cabin steward, Sunjay, was excellent. The shower was a bit larger than other showers on this class of ship which was appreciated. It is getting close to needing a facelift but met our needs.
Celebrity needs to invest more into technology. The TV should give you information on weather, replays of enrichment talks, replays of the captain's announcements, etc. I did not appreciate that now most of their decent movies are 'for pay' but we weren't in the room that much.
Took the tender and walked around the town. Enjoyable.
Walked around the Old Town. Had lunch and browsed.
Thoroughly enjoyed Buenos Aires. We spent 4 nights before the cruise and 1 night after. Saw so many interesting sights.
