Where to begin...
The MSC Seaside was an absolute beautiful ship. For the most part, it was very clean. The embarkation process was extremely smooth. We did not have to wait in any lines. That staff was professional. We were able to get into our rooms early.
We booked and paid for our cruise before November. We had 2 of the bigger issues right off the bat. One was our Room. We paid for a balcony room and when we received the Email, it did not state the view was obstructed. Not only did we have a big white wall to look at, we also had a huge propeller to view all 7 days. When we called the front desk, unfortunately the ship was completely booked, so we were unable to move rooms. They did not offer to charge us a oceanview price. Instead, their solution to the problem was to take off the $12.95 daily service charge which went to their staff for tips. So instead of them being hit in their pocketbook, they took money away from their staff. I found that disgusting and to me that shows what they think of their staff. My advice would be to check out the ship layout prior to the cruise. I know that now.
Balcony, however had obstructed view with wall and extra propeller. Not noted on email. Loose air grate continued to fall off with dirty filter. Room Steward did take excellent care of the room and was very helpful when we had questions
