  3. Majesty of the Seas
Majesty of the Seas is an older ship, but in better condition that we had expected after reading some older reviews. We had a junior suite and the suite itself was a pleasant surprise. The cabin was clean, spacious and had a bathtub. The only negative thing on the cabin was that the minibar didn't work, but our stateroom attendant Jose solved the problem by putting our drinks twice a day in an ice bucket, which worked perfectly. The main problem at the cruise was the quality of food: Windjammer was a total disaster and I refused to eat there anything except breakfast after two days on the cruise. The selection was very limited, food was lukewarm, the staff was tired and everything was just dirty. This was our third cruise on Royal Caribbean within 2 years and the buffees on the other two cruises were SO MUCH better. The dinners at the main dining room were better, but the food was a bit tasteless and also too cold to my taste. The service at the main dining room was good. We also tested the Johnny Rockettes, but found the food mediocre and not worth the extra money. I also noticed, that on this cruise you had to go inside a restaurant to have a glass of water which not ideal, if you are sunbathing! Apparently, this way they can sell more water bottles. The other problem was with the excursions. We had booked excursions for all ports (including Fort Lauderdale), so we had three excursions booked. All of the excursions were cancelled. One already two weeks before the trip, other two while we were onboard. Also the replacement excursion (for the earlier cancellation) was cancelled because due to high winds we couldn't go ashore in Costa Maya. The only excursion that took place was a replacement excursion in Cozumel. Luckily, it was fun. To us, excursions are the icing on the cake. We like spending time on the cruise ship, but the best part of the cruises are the excursions. So this cruise was a big disappointment to us. We have already booked our next cruise and hope to see that on this cruise we were just unlucky.

What a disappointment!
