Cuba was an awesome destination and our group made great memories on this trip. But none of our group of 10 would choose NO-wegian Cruise Line again.

Our first stop in the Bahamas was canceled due to weather. According to other reviews this is fairly common. We had no water in our shower the first day. One of our friends had water leaking from the bathroom the whole trip. They received chocolates in compensation. At breakfast on the morning of our canceled Bahamas stop, the wait staff at the main dining hall seemed overwhelmed. I asked for an omelet and our waiter said it might take a while so I said, I'll choose something else. We had already waited a while to order. Our waiter said, "It's ok, you have no where to go." Hilarious! He wasn't trying to be funny. There was a Starbucks on board that wasn't operational until the third or fourth day. There was some kind of sewage leak near the gym.

We had good service too. The last night especially at Cagney's was great. I don't want to make it seem like it was all bad. Of course there were shipboard staff who obviously enjoyed their job and wanted to provide excellent customer service. Read more
