My husband and I have taken four cruises together (including the honeymoon that became the reason for my screen name), but our 2 children had never been. We really wanted to introduce them to cruising and hoped they would love it as much as we do!

We chose the Carnival Fantasy because Mobile is the most convenient port to us, being only a short 5 hour drive away. The kids were out of school for Labor Day, so less missed days. And the cruise was very reasonably priced which helped make the decision easy!

Our kids were 5 and 2 at the time of travel and they LOVED our cruise. The staff was wonderful with them and made them feel like royalty. Both kids were excited to go to Camp Carnival (the fact that 2 year olds can use the kid’s clubs on Carnival is definitely a point in their favor!). Water Works was a huge draw for the kids, although my 2 year old was sad not to be big enough for the slides. Both kids wanted to play in the pool, but were disappointed by how small it was. So it was nice to have Water Works to make up for that.

Cabin 6C

This was a great cabin. Beautiful picture window and overall the cabin felt very spacious. The only things I didn’t care for were that there was no mini-fridge and the way the second upper is set up over the main bed. We hit our heads on it several times!
