We had a wonderful time on this trip, most of the ports were great. We talked to many people while on board, and even flying home, everyone seemed to say the same things. Wishing there was a day at sea in the middle of the week. We almost need another vacation from our vacation! It was unanimously said that Grenada should have been the day! I heard one person got brushed by a moving vehicle, the roads were insane!

Food on board was ok-great depending on where you ate. The Garden Cafe had great variety, definitely something for everyone. The only other restaurants we were able to get reservations for were Aqua, the other main dining room, and Bamboo. We would have loved to try the Brazilian steakhouse but couldn’t get a reservation. We did go in for the mojito bar and noticed a few empty tables, so I’m not sure why we could never get in. I was craving crème brûlée the whole trip, on the last night while dining at Aqua I asked our server Casey if there was any way I could get one? She checked with her supervisor and came back to let me know that it was possible but I’d have to pay extra for it. $4.99 was absolutely worth it! Maybe put an a la carte menu on the dessert menu for things like the creme brûlée, and other desserts that are available at the paid restaurants. I had quite a few people ask how I got it, and would have been more than happy to purchase one!

We took advantage of the spa services. I had a wonderful massage from Lucy. We also purchased the thermal spa for the length of the trip. It was a nice option, however the one therapy jacuzzi is very difficult to get into and out of. The one closest to the windows looking out. The pricing for the spa was outrageous, and under normal circumstances I wouldn’t have even entertained the thought of spending that much money, but I was lucky enough to have it gifted to me.

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

Room was fine. In this day and digital age there needs to be more outlets, or even just USB ports in the reading lights. It was impossible to keep everything charged. Luckily we both brought rechargeable power banks. A few more hangers, or 1-2 more drawers would have been nice as well. Our steward was great, we loved coming back to our cabin in the evenings to see what kind of towel animal we had!

Port Reviews

Aruba

We traveled with friends who have been to Aruba beforehand, so we just took a short walk from the ship to a super cool beach bar. We were able to rent lounge chairs and umbrellas, have drinks and lunch and it was still only $30 per person. Food, drinks, and rentals!! The beach was beautiful!

St. Maarten

Unfortunately I was sick this day and only strolled out to the shops. I did hear that there is still a lot of work to be done since the hurricanes hit.

Tortola

We only got off the ship to see what they had for shopping. There is only high end shopping off of the pier, we found one place selling souvenirs tucked away. The island looked nice, I didn’t hear of anyone’s experiences.
