Chose this cruise for a last bit of sun before the winter. We had previously been on the Braemar and really liked the fact that it is a small ship with an intimate feel. It was incredibly good value and I wanted to work with the fitness instructor, Pat who is the best yoga teacher I have encountered again.
Having now been on the Boudicca as well, the layout of the Braemar works far better.
It is logical and has an intimate feel, although some of the decor is starting to look a little tired. Embarkation was very quick. Picked up key card and walked straight on. Although we arrived quite late the restaurant was still open with hot food available. The general service, activities and port excursions were all good, and the room, though on the small side was comfortable, however I spent very little time in it other than to sleep!
Very small but none the less comfortable.
Very interesting historic town with lots of atmosphere
Amazing time. Saw a family of pilot whales
Loved the modern art gallery.
Best visits were the Cape Verde islands but weren't able to review these and 'not on list'
