A little about us: my husband & I are 45-50 yrs old. We have cruised a total of 34 cruises on RCCL, Celebrity, Princess, Norwegian (2) & Carnival (2).

This was our 4th European cruise but our 1st MSC cruise.

The ship is very pretty. The dome area in the center of the ship is a real feature. I hope MSC utilizes it in many other ways. The Stairs are beautiful. The dining rooms could have more flare. But the area outside the dining room is very nice.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

I love Rome, we did a private tour thru our hotel Rome Marriott Park Hotel.

Barcelona

BCN is always great. There was a partial taxi strike so, you had to figure out what you were doing & make sure you had plenty of time to get back to the ship.

Malta (Valletta)

We did the hop on hop off. We had been here before & kinda knew what we wanted to see. Malta is a great place.

Toulon

We took an MSC offered shuttle To the city center that cost 17 euro per person. It was a very nice market there with fruits, veggies, clothing, stores, restaurants & a cathedral.
