The Epic is a large ship, so there is always a lot to do. We sailed Jan 23 for 10 days so some of the concerns we had heard with not being able to get chairs to sun ourselves were not a problem at all. I think this may have been because it was an older demographic due to a 10 day cruise. We had a balcony room 9087 and it was fabulous. It had more storage space than I could have ever imagined. We over pack and we still didn't use several areas of storage. Be sure to really look everywhere because there are places you wouldn't even guess that open to put things. It was wonderful. The bathrooms are unique and not my favorite but they were not as bad as I had anticipated after reading other reviews. If you make reservations for dining it is best but even if you don't the lines seem to go quickly. People started lining up early so it seemed like the line was awful but as soon as they opened the doors it was fine. The few specialty restaurants we went to were good but if you didn't do any I think you would be fine. Some people did specialty dining almost every evening and were very happy. We didn't go to the buffet until towards the end but I was pleasantly surprised. The shows were so-so, I would say that I have seen better productions on Carnival but they were still fine. I was not a fan of the Pricilla show but the acting was good. The main desk was fantastic and extremely helpful with anything you needed. I was very impressed with all of them and especially Angelica. I was leased impressed with the line (almost hour long) to stand in for the internet manager that was not very helpful nor very friendly. There needed to be two people in this area at peak times, it was ridiculous. Someone should have seen there was a problem and gotten some help. Overall I loved my cruise but if I have this issue on my next NCL cruise I seriously have to consider not cruising NCL again. The ports of call were wonderful and the way NCL makes sure that you are taken care to get to your excursions is very impressive. Almost funny, but very impressive.

I am not sure the category of our balcony ( I don't remember ) but it was mid ship. It was a very nice room. Larger than I expected and so much storage space.

Port Reviews

Harvest Caye

It doesn't really show you the "real Belize" but it is beautiful and there is a lot to do. We parasailed and it was wonderful.

Costa Maya

We just drank and shopped. Had a great day.
