We took a cab to Magen's Bay for $8/person each way and admission to the beach was $4/person. Beautiful beach and since we were the only ship in town, peaceful and uncrowded. There are picnic tables all along the beach, in and out of the shade. Also there are beach chairs and loungers for rent. The beach has changing rooms and restrooms as well as a bar/restaurant. 


St. Thomas

In this port we simply shopped in the town by the pier. St Croix seems like a wonderful, quiet town, the local artisans have some neat crafts. 


St. Croix

After talking to the Visitor's Bureau at the pier, we decided to take a taxi to Cockleshell Bay for $6.50/person each way. At the beach we rented lounges for $5/each and an umbrella for $10. The beach is pretty and overlooks Nevis. There are a couple of bars and restaurants on the beach, a bucket of 6 local beers is $15. There are restrooms and changing rooms with showers here. We chose Cockleshell because of the facilities, some of the beaches closer to the pier only have port-a-potty restrooms. The drive to and from the beach was neat, providing many picture taking opportunities. 


St. Kitts (Port Zante)

We pre-reserved a Segway tour in Antigua based on the information found on Cruise Critic. This is an awesome tour, the cost is about $65/person with transportation to and from the pier. They meet you at the end of the pier and put you in a cab to their office. Here you watch a safety video and pay. Then you take a taxi to the beach area where the tour begins. After about 20 minutes of learning to ride the Segway the tour begins. Our group had eight people, two families of 4. The 2 guides were wonderful and knowledgeable and the sights on the tour were cool. You finish the tour be riding the Segway down the beach. After the tour you get a complimentary beverage and a taxi transports you back to the pier. 


Antigua

In St. Lucia we did the Land and Sea tour with Herod. This tour costs $70/person including admission charges and lunch. This tour was absolutely the best tour or excursion we have ever taken. We met at 9:30 in front of the cruise terminal and drove toward Soufriere and the Pitons. Along the way we stopped for photo opportunities and sampled local bananas and bread. Sodas, beer, rum punch were all provided along the way. The tour stops at a spring fed waterfall were a swim is very refreshing and at the drive in volcano. Herod and his cousin, Joesph are wonderful tour guides. Lunch is on the veranda at Herod's parents house overlooking the Pitons. His mother is a great cook and the there is plenty of authentic creole food. His father, a retired school teacher and principal, chats with you and his sister helps serve the food. This tour is a wonderful way to see the sights of St Lucia and experience the local culture. After lunch the tour continues into Soufriere and you board a couple of boats for a view of the island from the water and transportation to a beach between the two Pitons. You spend about 45 minutes at the beach, snorkeling is available. You then ride by boat back to the cruise ship. We highly recommend Herod's tour. 


St. Lucia

Cabin 9024, forward veranda on the starboard side. A little cozy for four people, balcony has large overhang from spa above. Quiet from above, but some noise from crew work space across the hall, not enough to keep you awake; however. Closet and drawer space a little small for four people, probably plenty for less Only two electrical plugs, a power strip might be useful.

We ate in the main dining room each night and usually ate breakfast and lunch up in the Waterfall Cafe.Our two high school girls met some nice kids on the ship and spent much of the on board time hanging out, they did not spend much, if any, time in the ship-sponsered teen program.
