Sail Date: Jan 2019
Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony

We stayed in a mid ship balcony - Room 12200. Our steward, Armand, was wonderful. Th room configuration was not to our liking. If you have a choice, select a balcony room with the bed closest to the balcony versus the entry door. More storage than we would dream of using. This is a big ship, too big for our needs. Big means lots and lots of people, everywhere. Fortunately, I had made dinner reservations at all the restaurants and for the main shows far in advance. Even with reservations, it seems like we were often waiting in a line somewhere. The speciality restaurants were all exceptional in terms of food and service. We enjoyed the Manhattan Main Dining room over Taste. Manhattan was more upscale and the ambiance was nicer. The singer needs to work on her voice.

The casino (which allows smoking) is in the middle of all the action. We walked thru it more times than I would have liked just to get to Sheehans Pub or the other bars and entertainment venues. Really poor design. While the exhaust fans do a great job of minimizing the smoke, it’s still very toxic.

The Theatres and comedy stages are all packed in to one area. Very comgested.

Port Reviews

Ocho Rios

We took a long walk.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

We visited the cayman turtle center. Very nice Nice swimming and snorkeling

Harvest Caye

It’s like Disneyland. Food and beverages were a bit costly. We returned back to the ship after an hour or so

Costa Maya

We love spending the day at Maya Chan Beach.

Cozumel

We typically just walk around a bit and return to the ship. We visit this island for dive trips
