We are seasoned cruisers and love cruising. This was our first trip with Princess and we had positive expectations based on what we had read prior to our trip. Princess did a fine job of communicating and building excitement and expectations for the cruise ahead of time via emails. In the end, we were a bit disappointed with several parts.

We booked directly through Princess, and all was smooth. Our air travel to Fort Lauderdale included one stop, and our return trip was non-stop which was very nice. We elected to have Princess transport us from Miami airport to the ship Fort Lauderdale - a 45 minute ride - but, again, all went smoothly.

We arrived around 3:00 p.m., and embarkation was quick. Our room was ready so we were able to settle in quickly. We had requested robes in the room prior to sailing (a feature offered online by Princess), but there were none there upon our arrival. We requested them from our stateroom steward and were not able to get them until the following day. They were not a luxurious as robes we have had on other lines, but sufficient. We had also requested chilled champagne for our room upon arrival, which was also not there. We were able to order it through room service prior to sailing.
